Marnie is a REALTOR® and Co-Owner of NextHome Wine Country Premier in Sonoma County which is in Northern California’s beautiful Wine Country. Born and raised in Sonoma County, Marnie is dedicated to giving back to her community in various ways. She has been an award-winning agent every year since earning her real estate license in 2004. She and her business partner Teri work under the team’s name, The Wine Country Home Team.
NextHome’s vision of building a charitable non-profit to help members and their families following natural disasters is personal for Marnie as her own community has suffered from recent deadly and destructive wildfires. In 2017, Marnie watched her community unravel from a wildfire which destroyed 5% of the housing and displaced thousands of families in a community already grappling with a housing shortage pre-fire. In addition, she witnessed her REALTOR® community struggle – agents who were having the best year in real estate career lost focus as all their time and energy went into mental survival and the decision of re-building or not which became a full-time job for many, and it greatly affected their business and income. Raging fires hit Sonoma County again in 2019 and 2020. Watching your community suffer devastation and then re-build is an amazing vision, but people need help to re-group and re-build – both financially and emotionally.
Giving back to the community that helped raise Marnie is important to her. In addition to serving on the NextHome National Disaster Relief Foundation Board, she currently serves as a Board Member on the Family Justice Center Foundation and is serving a second term as Co-Chair of Sit. Stay. Sparkle. Canine Companions Northwest Regions annual fundraiser. Marnie was an active member of the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa until recently and served as President, Assistant District Governor, and Board member during her 17 years in Rotary.
In Marnie’s down time she enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, their daughter Jessica, and her soon-to-be son-in-law Colton. They enjoy spending time at local wineries, exploring new places while glamping and being at their home in Truckee.
